Teams Attract Deadheads With Various Ticket Packages

Over the course of the past couple of seasons, there has been a trend of Grateful Dead Nights. These nights produced in conjunction with the Grateful Dead management team offer a ticket and a co-branded piece of merchandise.
So far we have seen t-shirts, jerseys and even hats offered as a part of these packages. Some teams take the theming for the night even further offering tribute bands playing on the concourse or outside the venue before the game as well as theming in game elements to the night as well.
Here are just some of the clients that have seen success thus far with these nights:
Colorado Avalanche:
- 2 Past Seasons: 2,975 tickets total
- This Year to date: 320 tickets sold that include the below shirt.
Columbus Blue Jackets:
- Past 3 seasons: 3,924 tickets sold
- This season: 256 tickets sold for March game that includes the below jersey
Carolina Hurricanes:
- Last years night sold 364 tickets with a package that included this shirt and access to pre-game concert by North Carolina's own tribute band, Bring Out Yer Dead, on the South Plaza of PNC Arena
Denver Nuggets:
- Past 2 seasons sold 3,005 tickets
- This year so far 235 tickets sold for a package that includes a jersey.
Portland Trail Blazers: Launched a night last year late in the season with only a couple weeks to sell.
- Finished with 134 tickets sold that included this branded shirt.
Identifying passionate groups of people, finding a way to tie them to your brand and offering them an opportunity to gather and enjoy is what this theme night is all about. This is just one of the many examples out there that can be replicated.
