New York Liberty Knitting Night Engages News Fans and Season Ticket Members
The New York Liberty brought knitting and basketball together with two Knit Nights this season. The nights created a shared-interest experience that welcomed new buyers and gave season ticket members another way to participate.
Rysa Ruth, a local designer, known for her viral knit jerseys was part of the night and the ticket package included a kit to make a seafoam scrunchie and a pattern by @rysasewsclothes, US 7 (4.50mm) knitting needles, yarn, and notions.
Package buyers also received exclusive early access to watch the Liberty player warm up and knit during this exclusive experience.
Season ticket members had the opportunity to join in the fun by purchasing just the knit pack as well.
The results speak volumes:
- 350 ticket packages sold for nearly $22,000
- 77 additional knit packs sold to season ticket members
- 87 new buyers—nearly 41% of 215 ticket-package purchasers
- 4,499 promotion viewers across July 3 and August 27
- 5% buyer conversion rate
