First Ever Bark in the Park Sells Out for Rapids

The Colorado Rapids are preparing to host their first ever Bark at the Park at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park this October. The event that is already sold out has sold 542 tickets!
Each human ticket purchased gave fans the ability to bring a dog out to the game with you. Each dog ticket included a Rapids brand dog bandana for your furry friend.
Logistically the Rapids kept all dogs restricted to a portion of the concourse in the Northwest corner, provided a grassy area just outside the gate for dogs to go in and out of the stadium. They requested dogs to be in good physical condition and able to handle loud noise (crowd cheering, pyro, PA announcements, etc.). Dogs needed to be leash trained and friendly with other dogs. Lastly, they required the human with the dog to be at least 18 years old.
By the Numbers:
- 542 tickets sold
- 217 total dog tickets sold
- Over $12K in ticket revenue
- 32% of buyers were new to the Rapids database
Trying new promotions and theme nights works! They attract a new audience and drive revenue.
