Ticket Fee Disclosure Flexibility (Guide)

Chances are, your jurisdiction is enacting or thinking about enacting ticket fee disclosure rules. In most cases, it requires ticket sellers to showcase the all-in ticket price (fees-included) at the onset of the buy-flow.
What happens if you have multiple ticket types? (Adult, Youth, Student)
What happens if you have the first ticket free, or highly discounted?
What happens if you have a complicated fee structure and don't want to input the all-in price?
As you can imagine, there are particular challenges with that, but rest-assured, Spinzo has your back. With our flexible approach, you can now choose how you want to input your ticket pricing (net or all-in), and that decision is independent of how you choose to showcase fees to the buyer!

If you're used to entering the net price, no problem!
But then you can choose how to display the fees to the buyer.

Summarized at checkout
This will show the net price (pre-fee price) to the buyer throughout the buy-flow but then summarize the total fees on the final checkout. This would be a good option if your state or province has not yet enacted fee disclosure rules, and you're wanting to keep them separate (and only disclosed at the end)

Disclosed everywhere
This will show the net price, the fee, and the total owing at each step in the process. Essentially, the fee is disclosed everywhere. This is a good solution if you'd like to be very clear on what the fees are versus the net ticket price. We have designed the fee disclosures to be as prominent as the net price to maximize compliance with new regulations.

All-in price everywhere with fees identified at checkout
This will only show the all-in price everywhere. On the final checkout, it will summarize the total fees that are included.

All-in price everywhere
This will only show the all-in price everywhere. Fees will not be identified at anywhere in the process. This is a good approach if you don't want the buyer to know or even think about fees.
So as you can see, we've been pretty thoughtful about how pricing should be input into Spinzo and how fees can be displayed. You can set a default approach for all of your offers, but then have the option to override the method for specific offers.
With this flexibility, you can create offers fast, while being honest with the fees where required by law. And following the law is a good thing.
