Cyclones Partner with Zoo
The Cincinnati Cyclones partnered with the Cincinnati zoo to offer a ticket package celebrating the miraculous Fiona the hippo!
Fiona is a story of survival. She was born 6 weeks before she was due and was too small to stand and nurse from her mom, Bibi. The Zoo’s care team stepped in and figured out how to feed her, what to feed her, how to keep her warm, and how to manage critical care 24/7 while juggling other daily responsibilities. It took a village, but #TeamFiona did it! And, by sharing her ups and downs with the world (every day for almost two years), she became a beloved symbol of hope and a source of inspiration for millions of people.
This incredible story was covered nationally and internationally but was also near and dear to those in Cincinnati. The Cyclones, aware of this special story, created a unique package offering an exclusive Fiona the Hippos bobblehead for a night with their traditional family four pack.
The package drove over 1,200 tickets and attracted a whole new audience for the Cyclones with 177 new accounts added to their database.
